Yoganand's workshops will dramatically deepen your yoga practice.

Please take advantage of this opportunity to study with this masterful teacher.

Pranayama and Meditation Techniques
Friday 6 pm- 9 pm ~ $45
Introduce yourself to the practice and science of pranayama and meditation. This intensive will draw from Swami Kripalu's and Kripalu Yoga teachers' interpretations of the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, a guide to hatha yoga practice written by fifteenth-century sage Swatmarama.
Through instruction and practice, you will learn basic pranayama and meditation methods. You will explore the effects of pranayama and meditation and how to incorporate them into your daily life. You will also be guided in how and when to use these techniques in a hatha yoga course.

Meditative Posture Class
Saturday 8am-11am ~$45
This class will use classical yoga postures to stretch and strengthen the body. Postures are led in a slow meditative manner. The postures are held longer in order to generate heat, while encouraging the body to release chronic patterns of stress and tension.

3~hour Vinyasa Class
Saturday 1pm- 4pm ~ $45
Join Yoganand for a 3 hour Vinyasa flow class, combining hatha yoga with pranayama and bandhas. Classes consist of a variety of postures that strengthen and limber the body. Recommended for students who want a more athletic yoga experience.

Saturday Evening Satsang and Potluck
Saturday 6 pm to 8 pm ~ Free
Satsang, literally is a coming-together of like-hearted people for the purpose of collectively evolving spiritually. Various methods for pursuing this evolution might include discussion, study, mediation, chanting, or even mindfully eating together. The hope is that there is more power in the collective than there is in its parts.
Please join the Stillpoint Yoga community Saturday night for Satsang (literally meaning, "meeting in truth") with Yoganand. You will have an opportunity to discuss the evolution of your yoga practices and ask questions about the upcoming Teacher Training in detail.

Asanas as Spiritual Doorways
Sunday 8am-1pm ~ $45
In the beginning of the Kripalu tradition, yogis developed and practiced asanas as part of a biologically based spiritual technology. They practiced specific breathing patterns, internal focal points, and, occasionally, visualizations, for the purpose of inducing spiritual experiences. They raised their biological energy (prana) to very high states, causing transformation in perception and experience of Self.
Most ancient yoga texts, including the Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, were based on these experiences of altered states of consciousness. In this program, we will use Swami Kripalu's approach to asana to discover lesser-known techniques that we can use to enrich our practice of hatha yoga. The program will include
  • Exploration of altered states of consciousness and how to use these states for self-discovery and transformation
  • Swami Kripalu's teachings regarding asana practice for raising prana and awakening spiritual energies
  • Discussion on how to use these teachings in daily practice
This training is offered for serious practitioners who wish to delve deeply into the Kripalu path with one of its senior teachers.

Understanding the Bhagavad Gita
Sunday 1 pm to 4 pm ~ $45
The Bhagavad Gita is a 2,500 year old Sanskrit text that offers profound insight into the deeper practices of yoga.
As the seeker, in the Gita, metaphorically prepares for the battle of spiritual transformation, he asks his teacher a series of questions. In his answers the teacher explains the many challenges and stages of the yogic spiritual path.
In this program we will explore themes from the Bhagavad Gita that are meaningful for us as modern yoga practitioners.
